Privacy & Cookies

Website analytics and your choices. Updated 25 October 2026.

Who is responsible?

Eleanor Banks Recruitment Ltd is responsible for the use of analytics on eleanorbanks.com. For privacy questions or to exercise your data rights, email kelly@eleanorbanks.com or call 020 8064 3431.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how people visit our public pages and to improve the website. Our Measurement ID is G-TNF9ENJMES. The lawful basis for this optional analytics processing is your consent.

Before you accept analytics, this website does not load the Google Analytics tag, set analytics cookies or send analytics measurements to Google. Rejecting analytics leaves the website available. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our website integration.

After consent, Analytics can process cookie identifiers, page visits, session and engagement information, browser and device characteristics, and approximate location. Google receives connection information needed to deliver its service; Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses from UK users. We do not deliberately send names, email addresses, CVs, testimonial form contents, URL query parameters or URL fragments through our page-view integration.

Cookies and preference storage

We store your accepted or rejected choice, an expiry date and a version number in your browser’s local storage under eb-analytics-consent-v1. This preference record is kept for 180 days, is not an advertising identifier and is not sent to Google. After expiry, or if you clear browser storage, we ask again and keep analytics off until you accept.

When accepted, GA4 may set the first-party cookies _ga (to distinguish browsers) and _ga_TNF9ENJMES (to maintain session state). Our tag requests a 180-day cookie lifetime with automatic renewal disabled. Actual browser storage and session behaviour can vary. We remove accessible GA cookies when you withdraw consent.

Hosting and security infrastructure may use necessary storage to deliver and protect the site. Private owner sign-in has separate authentication requirements. Those functions are not controlled by the optional analytics choice.

Change or withdraw consent

Use the permanent Cookie Settings control at the bottom of every public page. Accept Analytics enables measurement. Reject Analytics disables it. If you withdraw an earlier acceptance, we stop future website tracking, delete accessible analytics cookies and reload the page to unload the Google tag. We do not send a cookieless consent-withdrawal ping to Google.

Withdrawal does not undo processing that already happened. Your choice applies to this browser; other devices and browsers have their own preferences. If you block local storage, your choice may not persist beyond the current visit.

Google, retention and international processing

Google processes analytics information under the applicable Google Analytics terms and data-processing arrangements. Processing may involve countries outside the UK. The applicable contractual safeguards and Google’s privacy information explain how transfers are handled. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics information for UK users.

Browser cookie expiry is separate from retention of information already received by Google. User-level and event-level retention is controlled in the Analytics property. Contact us for information about the applicable retention setting or a data request; this page does not claim an unverified account retention period.

Your rights and direct enquiries

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. Contact us using the details above; browser-only analytics identifiers may make it difficult to identify historical information about you. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Information you choose to send by email, telephone or the testimonial form is handled separately from analytics. Do not include confidential personal information unnecessarily. This notice explains website analytics and cookies; ask us for relevant recruitment privacy information before sharing sensitive recruitment information.
